Stranded for the holidays!

Holly LOVES Christmas
And this year is special. This year she’s going to spend Christmas in the house where she grew up. It’s vacant, unoccupied as it has been since her family died, leaving her alone except for her beloved aunt. The realtor is a friend of the family and understands Holly’s need to visit the place one last time before it’s sold.

Matthew HATES Christmas
He hates everything about it. Has ever since the worst Christmas of his life, fifteen years ago, when his father died. He’s not above taking advantage of everyone’s favorite excuse not to work, however. He thinks he can get a leg up on the competition for a house he wants to flip. He drives up into New York’s rural snow belt town of Oswego to take a look at the place, and there he finds a crazy hippy stringing gaudy lights from the roof.

Stranded for the Holiday
Holly is no more thrilled by Matthew’s visit than he is by her presence, but she gives the grouchy stranger the grand tour in exchange for his help with a few tasks around the place. By the time they’ve finished, a holiday snowstorm has dumped enough snow to ensure neither of them can leave.

Fate finds a way
There’s a lot more going on than two random strangers, stranded together for the holidays. These two have a connection neither of them know about. There’s Christmas magic at work here, using an old felt hat to heal a pair of broken-hearted people by bringing them together.

A Christmas Romance for the ages!

About the Author
Maggie Shayne

New York Times and USA Today bestselling novelist Maggie Shayne has published 74 novels and novellas for five major publishers. She also spent a year writing for American daytime TV dramas The Guiding Light and As the World Turns and was offered the position of co-head writer of the former; a million-dollar offer she tearfully turned down. It was scary, turning down an offer that big. But her heart was in her books, and she’d found it impossible to do both.

Now, she is embarking on an exciting new leg of her publishing journey with dream-publisher, Oliver Heber Books and she’s having more fun than ever.

Maggie has three small-town contemporary series, The Texas Brand (9 books,) The Oklahoma Brands (6 books), and The McIntyre Men (6 books)

She has five paranormal romance series, including the groundbreaking 24-book Wings in the Night (Vampires,) The Immortals (4 books, Witches,) By Magic (4 books, Fay), The Portal (3 books, Witches) and now Wings in the Night: Fiona Files (1 book so far, Lycan and other.)

She is also the author of several romantic suspense and thriller series, including The Brown and de Luca Novels (8 books,) The Shattered Sisters (3 books) and Deep, Dark Secrets (6 books)

There are two stand-alone novels, Miranda’s Viking and Stargazer, and somewhere in the neighborhood of 13 novellas.

Maggie lives in a century-and-a-half old farmhouse in the rural hills of Cortland County NY with her husband Lance, who builds waterfalls for a living, and their dogs. There are always, always dogs.
