Christmas at the castle!
A knight’s uncanny skill to cook is the key to winning a lady’s heart.
A Deceptive Lady:
Lady Eva Cavendish will do anything to keep her family’s secret. When her father suffers from an accident, she forges missives to the king in her father’s name, wanting everyone to believe things are normal. When an uninvited knight shows up at her door on Christmas Eve with an offering of a roasted goose with all the trimmings, her love of food tempts her and she invites him in. A man with the skill of cooking, especially a knight, is rare and she doesn’t want him to leave. His creations are far better than the castle cook’s, and this brings her senses to life as he wins her heart.
The King’s Spy:
Sir Adam de Ware is on a mission as a spy for the king. A reward awaits him if he can uncover what is behind the odd happenings lately at Cavendish Castle. He needs to learn the secrets of Cavendish, and finds a sure way to do it. He’s heard the lady of the castle likes to eat, so he uses his skill of cooking to seduce her with mouth-watering festive dishes in order to get her to talk. What starts out as a ploy to do the lady in, ends up as a romance that he never expected.
During these twelve days of Christmas, will the whirlwind romance he’s dished out end up burning him in the end?
