OHB's Mission

Oliver Heber Books was born to give authors a safe, empowering home in a publishing world that doesn’t always have our best interests at heart.

We believe authors deserve the best — the best terms, the best support, and a real voice in how their work reaches readers. That belief drives everything we do. We’re constantly looking for new and innovative ways to make our authors’ works earn more for them — from aggressive subrights strategies to Kickstarter campaigns for special editions to direct sales initiatives. And we partner with editors, distributors, vendors, and artists who help make our books the best they can be.

We pay a true 50% royalty, monthly, because we believe authors should keep as much of their earnings as possible. We don’t think that’s generous — we think that’s how it should be.

But OHB is about more than any single book or any single author. We’re building a powerhouse community of creative voices — authors who support each other, champion each other, and whose collective strength makes every one of us louder than we could be alone. Voices matter. And they matter more when they are part of something bigger.

We support our authors’ journeys the way we’d want ours supported — and we’re just getting started.
